At first, I was thinking “how could she possibly hate Masa’s?” Then I realized that since I don’t eel or shrimp, we can go about our respective lives with our own opinions, each correct. :–)

Sorry to be too broad in my Yelp-mention in the review – I will write a post later about what I think about Yelp. Short answer: it’s a hugely useful tool, with many huge caveats, and I do, in fact, have an account. (But I’m kinda busy with my blog!) I was referring more to the assessment of general quality. And, as I’ll write later, greater reviews does not necessarily equal a greater degree of consensus on quality.

If 100 people reviewed this place and many mentioned how “delicious” the scorpion roll was, Yelpers “judgment” could certainly be questioned. Considering it’s only been reviewed by 8 people who don’t mention eating a scorpion roll… I think your assumption is a little presumptuous. You should join and let people in on your dining experience.
